Anyway here is some simple steps to follw before selling
Backup your all data
The firat thing is you have to backup your data and save it on a external device or in your pc . Surr that you are not lossing any of your importent data. The easiest way to backup your data is uploding your files to any cloud storage like google drive or drop box , i recomd you google drive because it is easy to use.
Factory Reset
After backing up your all importent data you need reset or wipe out all from yoir device , factory rest will remove or irase everything from your device including Contacts ,apps , photos , videos, music, documents etc...
To factory reset your device go to
Setting->Security->Factory data reset -> draw your pattern lock /pin to confirm.
After this your device will rebooted automatically. Dont be afraid. It may take some time boot up..
Remove your memcards and simcards
Remove your memcard and sim cards
Now you can handover your device to a new user dont be afraid any more ......
